圖書內容簡介

本書共分20個單元，每單元含兩篇法律英語課文。兩篇課文圍繞一個專題從不同層面系統介紹了美國商法各主要領域的基礎知識，內容涉及商業法律環境介紹、合同法、侵權法、財產法、保險法、商業票據、商事組織形式等；課文前面的Before You Read部分，有兩個簡單的問題，讓學生在閱讀課文之前回答，以引起他們思考。接著是First Reading：Exercises部分，要求學生較快地讀完一遍之后完成，以訓練學生的閱讀速度。 此外，課文后附有理解課文所需要的法律、社會、文化等背景知識的注釋。之后是詞匯表，列出了課文中較難的詞匯和短語，給出了音標、詞性和中文意思。最后是After-reading Exercises部分，包括多種練習題，其中有主觀題，也有客觀題，加強學生對課文內容的理解和對關鍵詞匯的掌握。其中的Oral Practice，可以讓學生在了解法律知識的基礎上，發表自己的看法，達到提高口語表達能力的目的。
