　本書收錄了刑科院建院十年以來七屆已通過答辯的88篇刑法學、刑事訴訟法學博士學位論文之精華。這些博士學位論文在選題和內容上密切聯系我國社會主義刑事法治建設的實際，或者對以往理論研究中尚未研究或者研究不夠深入的課題展開探索性研究，或者對現有研究課題從新的視角和方法進行研究，得出新的結論，或者對理論和實踐中的熱點問題，對之做進一步的論證、補充和完善，使之更加深化、確切和更有說服力。
